Articulated Dragon

Dragons became the default subject of the flexi-toy world for good reason: a long-bodied serpent with a horned head, folded wings and a tapering tail is exactly the shape that gains something from movement. This one is built to be picked up, wound around a hand, coiled on a desk and generally fiddled with, rather than parked on a plinth and admired from a distance. As a toy it lands somewhere between a fidget object and a character piece. Children take to them instantly, and so do adults who keep one beside a keyboard and only notice ten minutes later that they are still holding it. It is also one of the more reliable gift prints. Painted or left plain, it reads clearly as a dragon from across a room, and it is the sort of thing strangers ask about the moment they spot one on a shelf or a stall table at a maker fair.
