Articulated Excavator

Every building site has one and every child stops to watch it: a tracked hydraulic digger, cab slung over the running gear, boom and dipper arm reaching out to a toothed bucket. Here that machine is shrunk to desk size and treated as an articulated toy, modelled with the pivots of the real thing rather than frozen into a single static pose. It comes as a multi-part kit, so there is a proper little build waiting at the end, the sort of thing that keeps a wet Saturday afternoon moving. On a desk it works as something to swing and fold while you think; on a shelf it sits happily among other construction plant. Good for anyone printing for children, for a site manager's leaving present, or simply because heavy machinery in miniature is very hard to resist.
