Articulated Octo Minion

Two ideas collide here: the goggled little cartoon henchman everyone recognises, and an octopus. What comes out the other side is a squat, round-bodied character with a goggled face and a skirt of curling arms where its legs ought to be, which is daft in the best possible way and almost impossible to leave alone once it is sitting on a desk. As a flexi toy it belongs to the same family as the dragons and sharks that dominate market stalls and school fairs, but the mash-up gives it a novelty those do not have. People pick up things they have not seen a dozen times already. It suits a fidget for a work desk, a small gift for a child who knows the films, or a maker looking for a line that stands out on a table full of familiar animals.
