Description
A 3D-printable replica taken from a scan of a genuine ammonite, Cleoniceras besairiei — an extinct shelled cephalopod that swam the seas over a hundred million years ago. The classic form is captured faithfully: a flat, tightly-coiled spiral disc, ribbed across its whole face, winding inward to the small central spiral of the earliest chambers. Ammonites print beautifully as display fossils — the disc lies flat on the bed so it needs no supports, and a fine layer height keeps the ribbing sharp. Print it as a palm-sized curio, scale it up as a striking desk or shelf piece, or use it as a hands-on specimen for a classroom. A real piece of deep time, straight from a museum-grade scan to your printer.
