Facet Vase Wide

Row upon row of little pyramids wrap this vase in a crystalline, textured skin. The body has a gently waisted profile, flaring at the base, drawing in through the middle and opening again at the rim, and its entire surface is broken into stacked bands of faceted, triangular studs. The effect is somewhere between a pine cone and cut crystal: every ring catches light differently, so the piece looks alive as you walk past it. Shown here in plain grey, it's a modern, geometric decor object with real tactile interest. It shines as a dry-flower or pampas display, a statement shelf vessel, or a soft up-lit accent when a light source sits below the open top. Seal the inside and it holds fresh stems and water too. The busy faceted texture is also brilliant at disguising layer lines, so even quick prints look intentional. Print notes: • Purpose-made for vase / spiralise mode: a single continuous wall gives a smooth, watertight-ish shell with no infill or supports. • If you want it fully water-holding, print with 3–4 perimeters and a few solid bottom layers instead of true vase mode. • No supports required, the faceted overhangs are shallow and self-supporting all the way up. • Silk or matte PLA both work well; a metallic or dual-tone filament makes the pyramid facets pop. Print tall as a floor vase or shrink for a desktop pen pot.
