Glass 6 Vase

Cut and pressed glassware is the reference: a slim decorative vessel whose walls are worked into a repeating faceted profile, the way a Victorian pressed-glass tumbler or a mid-century carafe steps light along its ridges. This is the sixth profile in the Glass series, and the geometry is the entire design — no applied ornament, just the silhouette and the rhythm of its facets. Somewhere with light behind it is where a shape like this earns its place: a windowsill, a mantelpiece, the end of a shelf against a pale wall. It suits dried grasses, seed heads, pampas or a few bare stems, and is just as content standing empty as a sculptural object in its own right. A single-file model, and the kind of decorative piece people end up printing more than once, in a row of two or three at different scales.
