Description
A 3D-printable replica of one of Japan's most extraordinary ancient artifacts: the Shakoki-dogu, or 'goggle-eyed' dogu, made by the Jomon people thousands of years ago. Its enormous slit-eyed goggles dominate a body armoured head to foot in swirling, cord-pressed spirals, above broad hips and stout, tapering legs — a face and form so striking that some have (fancifully) linked it to ancient astronauts. Captured from a scan of an original, it carries every ridge and coil of the real clay surface. Printed and displayed upright it makes a genuinely arresting centrepiece for a shelf, a study, or a history classroom, and a fine-detail teaching specimen for anyone drawn to archaeology or Japanese art. A fine layer height keeps the intricate patterning sharp. Straight from an open museum-grade scan to your printer.
