Description

The finishing cap for a spiralised mason-jar vase. On its own the render looks deceptively simple — a shallow, coin-shaped disc with two crisp concentric grooves banding its edge — but it's the lid that turns a vase-mode mason jar from an open cup into a properly stoppered jar. The ribbed sidewall echoes the threaded shoulder of a real preserving jar, so it sits down over the mouth with a satisfying lipped fit. Pair it with a spiralised jar body for a lightweight decorative vessel: keep it sealed for faux-preserve display, dried stems or trinket storage, or leave the lid off for fresh (or faux) blooms. It suits farmhouse and cottagecore shelf styling, wedding table centrepieces and window-ledge decor. Print notes: • Vase/spiralise mode is ideal for the matching jar body; this lid, however, prints best as a normal solid with a flat top and a few solid top layers for a clean surface. • No supports needed — the grooves are shallow horizontal steps that bridge fine. • PLA at 0.2mm is plenty, and a wider nozzle knocks it out in minutes. • Print in white or cream for a ceramic look, or clear PETG for a frosted-glass effect; a quick wipe of the seam gives a snug push-fit.
