Sprawling Puppy Cookie Cutter

The dog lies belly-down with all four legs pushed out sideways, and that sprawl is what gives the cutter its width: front paws forward, back legs splayed, each foot marked with a couple of curved toe lines. At the head, both eyes are cut as complete rings with a raised disc left standing in the middle for the pupil, one ear falls in a long lobe past the cheek, and a rounded muzzle carries a soft nose with a wide grin scribed beneath it. A fan of parallel arcs sweeps across the back, fur strokes laid one after another and tightening as they curve, while a small hooked tail with a combed fringe turns up at the far side. Outline and detail are carried on the same piece, the inner blades rising to meet the height of the wall.
