Robert Vase Wall

The name is close to literal. This is a vessel that reads as one continuous wall, rising and folding back on itself so the outline shifts as you walk past it. There is no applied ornament, no handle and no separate foot; the whole interest of the piece sits in how the surface pleats and where light catches along the ridges. That makes it a quiet object rather than a loud one. It suits a mantelpiece, a windowsill, or a shelf where something tall and narrow is needed to interrupt a row of books, and it holds its own empty just as well as it does with dried stems in it.
