Succulent Vase

Named for the plant and shaped like it too: a squat, ribbed, rounded little vessel that borrows the tight overlapping rosette of a houseplant succulent and turns it into fat, layered geometry. It belongs on a windowsill shelf, a desk corner or a bathroom ledge, and it looks better grouped with other small vessels than standing on its own. Dried grasses, short stems and seed heads sit well in it; left empty it makes a decent home for pens, brushes, hair grips and the small clutter that collects on a worktop. Succulent-themed decor has been a fixture of home shelves for a decade now, and printing your own means choosing the size rather than accepting whatever the shop happened to stock. Run one, work out where it lives, then run two more at other heights — the shape gains from being repeated.
