Torus Vase

Geometry does all the work here. The body is built from a torus — a ring form — pulled upright and opened out into a vessel, so the profile swells outwards at the belly and draws back in towards the rim rather than running in a straight taper. Nothing is applied on top of it; the curve is the ornament. That makes it an easy piece to place.
