A slim decorative vessel from the spiral-vase school of design, where the whole silhouette is one continuous sweep rather than a stack of separate features. The profile draws in at the foot, swells through the middle and narrows again towards the lip, with rippled facets running the height of the body so the shape shifts as you walk past it. This is a decorative object before it is a container. Vases of this sort generally earn their keep holding dried stems, grasses and paper flowers, or simply standing empty as a sculptural shape on a mantelpiece, a hall table or a shelf that wants some vertical interest against flat books and frames. It is also one of the more satisfying things to make for a room you are furnishing from your own printer, and the kind of form people return to at different scales to build up a group.
