Serial-numbered like a lab specimen, this belongs to a long-running family of generative vessel designs, the sort of shape that comes out of a parametric sketch rather than a potter's wheel. The result is a tall tapering form with a rhythmic pattern working its way up the body, geometry doing the decorative job that glaze would normally do. On a shelf or a windowsill it reads as a sculptural object first. Stand dried stems, pampas or a bundle of wheat grass in it and it becomes a quiet centrepiece for a hallway table; leave it bare and the profile still holds its own next to a row of books. Printed as a set at two or three different heights it groups well on a mantel or a wide sill. As decor it leans minimalist and Scandinavian, where one strong silhouette does more than a busy ornament ever will.
