What images work best?
A solid dark silhouette on a light background gives the cleanest outline — logos, clipart and traced drawings are perfect. Photos work if the subject is clearly darker than the background; use the threshold slider to tune the outline.
Is 3D printed PLA food safe?
PLA itself is food-contact safe for brief use like cookie cutting, but layer lines can harbor bacteria. Wash by hand promptly, never in a dishwasher, and treat cutters as short-lived. For frequent use, consider PETG and a food-safe sealant.
My outline looks wrong — what do I adjust?
Move the threshold slider until the preview matches your shape. If your image is light-on-dark, enable Invert. Very thin details may need a simpler source image.
What do the blade and flange settings do?
The blade is the thin cutting wall (0.8–1mm prints sharp). The flange is the wide rim at the top you press on — make it wider for more comfort and stiffness.
