Christmas Minion Silhouette

The outline is one of the most recognisable cartoon shapes going: the stout capsule body and strapped goggle line of a minion, dressed up for December with a festive hat on top. Cut into rolled dough, it gives you a biscuit children identify from across the room, which is most of the battle at a school fair or a Christmas bake sale. It is a seasonal cutter of the sort that lives in the drawer with the stars and the trees and comes out from late November onwards. Gingerbread, shortbread and sugar-cookie doughs all suit a bold cartoon outline, and the hat gives you an obvious place to run a stripe of royal icing. Baking is not the limit either. Cutters of this sort get pressed into fondant, salt dough for tree decorations, and playdough on a wet afternoon in the school holidays.
