Caught here mid-open with a little hoard of coins and washers inside, this is a print-in-place hinged box built on a hexagonal footprint. The lid is dimpled with a honeycomb field of shallow domes, the rim is notched like a tiny battlement, and a living hinge joins lid to base so the whole thing lifts off the bed as one working object, no glue and no assembly. Print it in PLA or PETG straight on the plate without supports; the make-or-break moment is the hinge, so slow those layers right down and keep your first layer squeaky clean so the two halves don't fuse together. A dab of oil worked into the joint afterwards frees up a smooth, satisfying snap.
