The circled A has been scratched onto record sleeves, jacket backs and bus shelters since the seventies, and it endures because it is about as efficient as a symbol gets. One letter, one ring around it, legible from across a room. Here that mark becomes a keyring, the letterform and its enclosing circle carrying the entire design with nothing else competing for attention. Punk and hardcore fans are the obvious audience, alongside anyone who wants their keys saying something without pinning a badge to a coat. As a gift it is refreshingly low risk, since there is no size to guess at and no taste to second-guess. Llavero is simply Spanish for keyring, which says something about where the design came from. It comes as a single file, and it is the sort of thing that ends up printed a dozen at a time and handed round.
