Description

A knotted, ring-woven vessel that looks pulled straight from a shipwreck. Clockspring3D's Relic Vase is built from a cage of interlaced, saw-toothed rings that wrap and overlap around a hidden inner chamber, topped by a bold looped ring handle and set on a scalloped foot. Printed here in a warm terracotta-wood filament, the crenellated edges and layered banding give it a genuinely ancient, artefact-like feel — part amphora, part woven basket. The set includes a matching stopper, so it reads as a sealed relic rather than an open pot. It's a display-first household piece: a shelf, mantel or console centrepiece, a home for dried stems, or a characterful gift for anyone who likes sculptural, conversation-starting decor. The open lattice means it's ornamental rather than watertight. Print notes: • Prints without supports thanks to the self-bridging ring geometry — that's the design's party trick. • A wood-fill, terracotta or bronze-silk filament flatters the texture; a light sand on wood-fill brings out the grain. • 0.2 mm layers are fine here — the banding actually adds to the aged look — but keep the first layer slow for a clean scalloped foot. • Print the stopper separately and test-fit; any fuzz of stringing inside the rings brushes away easily or clears with a hot-air pass. Scale up for a dramatic floor-adjacent piece or down for a shelf cluster.
