Description
A pocket-sized phone stand that lies dead flat, then folds up into a solid cradle — shown here in bold red, black and yellow. The body is a triangular wedge pierced with a honeycomb of hexagonal holes to save filament and weight, and it works on a print-in-place living hinge: the flat plate snaps up into an angled backrest with a lip along the front to stop your phone sliding off. Flat-pack thin when closed, it drops into a bag, drawer or laptop sleeve and unfolds anywhere. Great for desk video calls, watching shows at the kitchen table, or as a cheap, cheerful giveaway you can batch by the dozen. Handles phones and small tablets in both portrait and landscape. Print notes: • Print flat with no supports — the whole point is the print-in-place fold, so leave the hinge as modelled. • Use PETG or PLA+ for a hinge that flexes repeatedly without cracking; brittle basic PLA can snap at the fold. • Keep the first layer clean and well-tuned so the thin honeycomb webs bond fully. • Gently work the hinge free once cooled before its first fold. • 0.2mm layers, 3 walls; scale up slightly for heavier tablets, and swap filament colours for an easy two-tone set.
