Connecting Drawers

Storage that grows sideways. Rather than a fixed chest with a set number of slots, this is a small drawer module designed to join up with copies of itself, so one becomes three becomes a bank of a dozen as the amount of stuff you own quietly expands. Drawers earn their keep over open trays in one obvious way: things stay put and dust stays out. That makes this a workshop piece first — fixings, drill bits, spare nozzles, the little bags that come with flat-pack furniture — but it settles just as easily on a desk holding SD cards, batteries and stationery, on a craft table for beads and threads, or in a hallway swallowing keys and charge cables. It comes as a multi-part build, and it is the kind of design people print in runs, adding another module every time a drawer fills up.
