Iron Man

A home display piece built around the most recognisable powered armour in comics: the faceplate with its narrow eye slits and slotted mouth vent, the chest reactor set into the breastplate, and the layered plating of a suit designed as much for its silhouette as for the story wrapped around it. Filed under household rather than tabletop gaming, it is meant to be left out and seen — a living room shelf, a desk at work, a mantelpiece, the top of a bookcase in a bedroom that already leans superhero. It reads clearly at a distance, which is the one job a shelf piece has to do properly. It is a straightforward gift subject too, since nobody who has watched a blockbuster in the last twenty years needs the character introduced to them first.
