Description
A working little linkage, printed to prove the motion. This is a mechanical proof-of-concept part, shown in sage green: a flat crank arm that carries a spoked wheel-hub at one end and opens into a two-pronged clevis fork at the other. The hub is a round disc cut through with a ring of straight spokes around a central bore, the sort of open wheel you would pin to a shaft, while the forked end has aligned holes so it can pivot on a pin between two ears. It ships as a two-part set, the main body plus a matching bolt, so the pieces actually assemble and turn rather than just sit there. It is aimed at makers and tinkerers who enjoy functional prints: a desk curio that demonstrates a crank-and-fork mechanism, a fidget with a satisfying rotation, a teaching aid for how linkages transfer motion, or a building block for a larger contraption of your own. Print / CNC notes: • Print flat on the bed for maximum strength along the arm; the load runs lengthways, so orientation matters here. • Leave a little tolerance at the bore and the clevis holes, around 0.2mm, so the bolt turns freely without reaming. • Print the bolt separately and check the fit before gluing anything; a snug pin keeps the joint from wobbling. • Higher perimeter counts and 30 to 40 percent infill give the arm enough stiffness to take repeated cranking.
