Desks accumulate paper. Notebooks, jotters, a pad someone left behind — they end up stacked flat where they are hardest to find. This is a holder built to stand that pile upright instead, keeping notebooks visible on their spines and off the working area of the desk. It is the second iteration of the design, which is where most organisers get good: the first version teaches you what actually gets used, and the revision fixes it. The result is a plain, upright tray without decoration, the sort of thing that disappears into a workspace rather than announcing itself. Suits a home office, a study desk, a workshop bench where notes and sketchbooks pile up, or a shelf that needs paperwork corralled into one predictable place, and it is a plain enough object that a second or third copy along the same shelf still looks deliberate.
