Pen Pot Cup

The desk tidy tends to be the first genuinely useful thing people print once the novelty models are out of their system, and this is the honest version of it: a straight open cup, deep enough to keep pens standing upright instead of rolling off the edge of a desk. What it does is simple, and that is the whole appeal. Pens, pencils, scissors, a steel rule and the cheap screwdriver that has never had a proper home all end up in one place rather than spread across the work surface. The same shape sits happily on a kitchen worktop holding wooden spoons, on a workbench holding files and pliers, or on a bathroom shelf with brushes in it. Print it once and it disappears into the room within a week. Print it at a couple of different scales and you have a matching set covering the desk, the bench and the drawer of odds and ends.
