Platform Organiser

Bench clutter is mostly a stacking problem, and a raised platform tray is the standard answer to it: a flat working deck with a defined edge, lifted clear of whatever is spread out underneath so the small items stop wandering off. This is a single-piece organiser for a desk, workbench or shelf, somewhere to corral pens, driver bits, cables, dice, fixings and whatever else has colonised the flat surfaces. Raising the deck gives you a second level within the same footprint, which is the trick that makes a small desk usable again, and it keeps the things you reach for constantly separate from the things you only need occasionally. It is an unglamorous print that earns its place the day it comes off the machine, and the kind of design most people end up making a second time for the other end of the bench.
