Description

A mountain troll crouched low on a shale plinth, one forearm slammed flat across its eyes against a sunrise he walked home too slowly to beat — long hooked nose pointing down at his own knee, ears folded back along the skull, lower tusks bared in an expression that is far more irritation than terror. His left side has already gone: coarse speckled granite climbing the shin and bunching the shoulder up high, blunt facet edges with chalky dust caught in them, and a thick seam of cracked half-hardened skin where cold slate-grey stone meets dying lichen-green. The rest is still troll and unmistakably so, rubbery warty hide with mustard-ochre warts ridging the spine, a greasy shine across the nose and pot gut, ash-grey callus on knuckles and knees, matted bracken-brown hair hanging in felted ropes, small sunken amber eyes you only find when you look under the arm. A gnawed goat haunch stays pinned between the other forearm and his belly — he has not put dinner down to save his life — and a crude ash-wood carrying pole, bark still on it and lashed with greasy rawhide, lies along the thigh. Nothing reaches out past the footprint: haunches dropped flat, both soles planted inside the shoulder line, the whole bottom-heavy mass bedded into mountain shale with two moss cushions tooled flush into the rim and one weathered marker cairn stone half-sunk at the edge. From across a room he reads at once as a big dangerous thing losing an argument with the dawn. WHAT YOU GET One mesh, one part, uncut. Troll, goat haunch, carrying pole and shale base are a single continuous solid. Watertight and manifold, 203,240 triangles. Bounding box 81.996 × 79.086 × 100 mm; it fits the build plate at that size. PRINTING IT Sliced as supplied, the single part came out at 268 minutes. Extruded volume works out to about 61.86 g in PLA — that weight is calculated from volume and PLA density, not a figure the slicer reported. Overhanging surface measures 8.76 percent, and the thinnest wall in the mesh is 1.027 mm, which is the number to watch if you scale it down toward 28–32 mm heroic. Nothing here has been test printed. ASSEMBLY None. There are no joints, pegs or seams to line up, and the base is part of the sculpt rather than a separate plinth. LICENCE Print it for yourself, your table and your friends. The file itself stays with the studio: do not resell, re-upload or pass the mesh on. If you want to sell prints of it, a commercial licence is available as a separate tier at four to five times the file price. CHANGELOG 2026-10-21 — first release. Single-part mesh, integrated shale base.
