A heart with the soul of a tree stump. 'Tapa' means lid — and this is a plump, heart-shaped topper carved all over with a swirling faux wood-grain texture, complete with looping growth rings and a small knot, plus a circular aperture cut through one lobe. The grooved grain catches light across the domed surface, and the round opening suggests it's made to cap a jar, sit over a small pot, or frame a tea-light or trinket recess below. A cheerful little household accessory — think a lid for a heart-shaped storage box, a rustic candle collar, a planter cap or a decorative cover for a kitchen jar. The chunky, hand-hewn look suits farmhouse and cottage-style interiors. Print notes • Print flat with the grained face up; the underside skirt/lip is the sealing surface, so keep it on the bed for a clean, level seat. • The engraved grain reads best with a fine nozzle (0.4mm or smaller) at 0.12–0.16mm layers — no supports needed at this orientation. • Check the circular hole diameter against whatever it caps before printing, and scale the whole heart to match your jar or box. • A wood-tone filament plus a light sanding and wax makes the grain genuinely convincing; or paint the grooves darker than the raised surface to fake carved timber. Simple, fast and forgiving — a good single-evening print that makes a sweet handmade gift.
