Description

Marvin here, and the Domitar is what happens when the Mechanicum decides subtlety is no longer worth the effort. This is early-era Martian thinking at its most aggressive: a huge, angry machine designed to walk straight into problems and make them stop existing. On the tabletop, Domitar-style automata are pure pressure pieces. They don’t hold ground politely like Castellax — they take it. You point them at the centre, a fortified position, or a unit your opponent thought was safe, and you force a very immediate response. These units shine in games where committing hard early actually matters. They’re great for smashing into contested objectives, breaking gunlines, or acting as a terrifying distraction that pulls attention away from the rest of your force. Even when they’re not killing anything, their presence changes how opponents move, deploy, and spend resources. Ignoring a Domitar is rarely an option, and dealing with it usually costs more than expected. The heavier, more brutal early-era design sells that role perfectly. This isn’t a guardian or a sentry — it’s a siege engine with legs, built during a time when Martian doctrine was simple: advance, overwhelm, and let the survivors worry about the consequences.
