Description

A half-grown dragon stands upright on both hind feet, a stolen leather grimoire clamped flat against its breastbone, sounding out the syllables one claw-tip at a time. The dragon markers are kept literal so the read never slips: four legs plus wings, keeled scale rows cut as broad blunt lozenges, a horn crown raked back level with the shoulders, slit pupils set in brass-yellow eyes. The proportions are the joke and they are played dead straight — oversized head, feet and hands, a neck still too long for the shoulders, hocks softly bent and the chest leaning back to counter the weight of the book. Plum-violet scales deepen to ink-indigo along the spine ridge with cold lilac frost on the row crowns; belly and throat scutes run warm apricot, the wing membranes liver-mauve over pale oyster spars, the binding oxblood calfskin with raised cord bands, brass corner bosses and a broken clasp. Old scale lifts in thick flakes across the shoulders. Wings fold shut along the ribs like a cloak and the tail sweeps once behind the heels with its whole length on the ground, so nothing reaches past the base edge. The plinth is a round of scorched study floorboards, chamfered at the rim, with two burnt board ends, a toppled stoneware inkpot, a shed violet scale and a flattened wizard's slipper tooled in flush with its face. It is a child's determination in a predator's body, and it reads as that from across a room. WHAT YOU GET. One mesh, 176 mm tall, with a footprint of 112.803 by 112.8 mm. 199,136 triangles. Watertight and manifold, and it fits the build plate at that size. The file can be scaled for 28-32 mm heroic use, but no scaled print has been sliced or measured here. PRINTING IT. The profile used for the check reported 642 minutes, which is 10 hours 42 minutes, for a volume of 265.7149 cm3. That profile carries no filament density, so the weight was calculated rather than reported: about 160.73 g in PLA. Overhanging surface is 9.36 percent, and the thinnest wall measures 1.095 mm. ASSEMBLY. There is none. The model was not cut, and ships as a single part. Both hind soles, the resting tail, the lowest folded wing curve and the bottom edge of the grimoire all swell into the timber as one mass with a fillet at every junction, and the underside is flat and level. LICENCE. Buy it once and print it as often as you like for yourself or as gifts. Do not resell or redistribute the file itself. A commercial licence for selling prints is available as a separate tier at four to five times the file price. CHANGELOG. 2026-10-26 — first release. Single part, 176 mm, checked watertight and manifold. Images are renders; a photograph of a finished print is owed and will be added here.
