Description

An ornate little crown, not a ring, a coronet bristling with fleur-de-lis. Despite the filename, the model in front of the camera is a full circlet crown: a curved band ringed with tall, pointed merlons, each capped by a stylised fleur-de-lis, with a second inner row of smaller lily points rising behind them. A beaded, jewel-set moulding runs around the lower rim, and the openwork between the spires lets light pass right through. The dark, bronzed metallic finish gives it a brooding, antique, almost sinister royal air, fitting for a wraith-king or a fallen monarch. It works as a display piece in its own right, a crown for a bust or statue, a cosplay or LARP prop, a cake topper, or a miniature regalia accent for tabletop and diorama scenes. Fantasy and Tolkien fans will recognise the wicked-king styling immediately. Print notes: • Resin is the natural choice: the thin spires, openwork and beaded rim resolve far more crisply than on FDM. • Print it upright or slightly tilted, with supports fanning up under the fleur-de-lis tips and the free spans of the band. • Scale it deliberately: shrink for a figurine's head, or size up to a wearable circlet, checking wall thickness so the merlons do not snap. • A metallic base coat with a black wash sunk into the recesses reproduces the dark bronze look in the render.
