A stepped art-deco tower reaching for a miniature skyline. This is a tiered skyscraper in the classic 1920s–30s idiom: a broad plinth stepping up through a series of setbacks to a slender, crowned spire, every face wrapped in row upon row of gridded windows. The massing recalls the great American Radiator and Chrysler-era towers, all vertical piers and receding shoulders that catch the light. Rendered in grey, it's plainly a scale-model building rather than a real structure — a centrepiece for a cityscape. It drops straight into diorama and model-railway work: place it in an N- or HO-scale downtown, use it as a backdrop tower for tabletop city fights, or print a cluster at different heights to fake a whole skyline. On a shelf, a single crisp print makes a handsome architectural ornament in its own right. Print notes: • Print upright, oriented vertically as shown, so the window courses stay sharp and layer lines run with the building. • A 0.4mm nozzle copies the window grid cleanly at desk scale; drop to 0.2mm layers if you want the mullions to really read. • Hollow the interior with a couple of perimeters to save filament on a tall part, and add a light brim if the slim footprint lifts. • FDM handles this well with no supports — the setbacks are self-supporting steps.
