Description

A whole Manhattan tower block, scaled down for the tabletop. This is a detailed scale model of a tall commercial building — a stone-and-steel high-rise with a broad, ornamented lower base of large shopfront-style openings, a tall shaft of regularly ranked windows climbing its many floors, and a stepped Art Deco crown that tiers inward before a small rooftop penthouse and tower cap. The window mullions, cornice lines and setbacks are all modelled in, so even in plain grey it reads convincingly as an early-20th-century city building. It's aimed at diorama builders, model-railway layouts and wargamers who need a believable urban skyline: N, HO, OO or T-gauge cityscapes, modern or near-future skirmish boards, and display bases. Print notes: • Print vertically to keep the window rows and vertical piers sharp and reduce visible layering on the facades. • FDM at 0.12–0.16 mm handles it well at larger scales; drop to resin if you're printing it small (N/T gauge) so the mullions survive. • It should stand support-free on its base; watch the underside of the rooftop setbacks for minor overhangs. • Scale to your gauge in the slicer, then set it hollow-with-thick-walls to save a lot of material on a tower this size. • Prime grey, wash the recesses and drybrush the cornices to bring out the stonework; glaze the windows with gloss or acetate if you want lit interiors.
