Aria Philadelphia

A soaring stepped tower lifted straight from a 1920s downtown skyline. This is a tall, slender skyscraper model in the Art Deco setback style: a broad lower block studded with rows of windows rises into a narrower mid-section, then tapers again to a crowned tower with a stepped, ornamented cap. A smaller secondary massing sits at the front like a lobby wing. What sells it is the density of crisp detail — hundreds of recessed window bays marching up vertical piers, string courses between floors, and sharp cornice steps at every setback. It is built for cityscapes. Drop it into an N-, HO- or Z-scale model railway backdrop, anchor an urban diorama with it, or add height to a wargaming table's skyline. At full size it also stands alone as an architectural desk piece or study model. Print notes • Resin (MSLA) captures the window mullions best; an FDM machine with a 0.2 mm nozzle profile at 0.12 mm layers also does well. • Print vertically as oriented — the flat base sits straight on the plate, so support is minimal. • For resin, hollow the tower and add drain/vent holes before slicing. • Scale the whole model down to suit your railway ratio; test one setback tier first to confirm your printer holds the window detail.
