Assault Intercessors Chainswords

Chainsword in one hand, heavy pistol in the other. Assault-pattern Intercessors are the answer when a firefight has already collapsed into a brawl, and they are line troops rather than elites, which is rather the point: you field them in numbers, so this is drawn as a squad rather than a single hero pose. The armour is the newer, bulkier Primaris pattern. The sculpt keeps the large plates clean enough to paint quickly across several models at once, while leaving grilles, cabling and oath papers for anyone who wants to take longer over it. It comes as a multi-part kit at tabletop wargaming scale, aimed at players building out a grimdark army where the close-assault slot still needs filling and buying an official box for every squad has stopped making sense.
