Champion models exist for one moment: the point in a general melee where two figures find each other and everything around them stops mattering. This is a duellist character in heavy plate, sculpted in the crusader idiom — oath scrolls, ceremonial trappings, a blade carried like the argument is already settled. The name deliberately sits on a knife edge, and that is useful. Field him one way and he is an order's chosen swordsman; field him another and he is the mirror of that, a champion who took the same vows and followed them somewhere else entirely. Either reading gives you a centrepiece rather than another rank-and-file body. Supplied as a multi-part kit at tabletop wargaming scale, with enough going on to reward slow work with a fine brush. Suits grimdark skirmish games, narrative campaigns where a named character earns his own rules, and display bases.
