Terminator plate is the heaviest armour an Astartes ever wears — a walking bunker, so massive the wearer cannot run — and it exists for boarding actions and corridor fighting, the sort of war where there is nowhere to fall back to. Warriors in it advance at a steady walk and simply do not stop coming. Put that together with a crusading order, one that closes to arm's length and settles matters with blades and oaths rather than at range, and you get elite veterans with a distinctly medieval flavour showing through the ceramite. The contrast between a knight's procession and a suit of powered armour is most of the appeal, and it gives a painter a subject with real weight to it. Running to a great many files, this is a substantial multi-part kit at tabletop wargaming scale, meant for a player anchoring an army on an elite squad.
