Sword drawn and held across the body, this is a bodyguard figure for a Chapter that treats war as a permanent crusade rather than a posting. The Black Templars take their oaths seriously and wear them: robed plate, hanging parchment seals and a fighting style that closes the distance and settles matters at arm's length. The blade is the focus. It is an oversized two-handed weapon carried by a warrior whose whole role is to stand between his commander and whatever comes next, and the pose is alert rather than mid-swing, which keeps it useful either as a retinue model beside a marshal or as a solo character in a smaller force.
