Black Templars Space Marine Captain

A captain of a crusading Chapter, sculpted the way that sort of officer is always imagined: standing tall in artificer plate, blade raised, robes and chains hanging from the armour like the accumulated weight of oaths kept. The pose says he leads the charge rather than directing it from somewhere safer. Characters like this do double duty. On the table he is an HQ choice, or a stand-in for any Space Marine commander in a grimdark ruleset, giving a crusade-themed force the figure its army list is built around. Off the table he is a display model, the kind of piece a painter uses to trial a scheme before committing it to thirty rank-and-file marines. He arrives as a multi-part kit: a single-model project with more than enough going on to keep a brush occupied for several sittings.
