Blood Angels Baal Predator

The Baal pattern is the Blood Angels' own reading of the Predator battle tank: the familiar armoured hull that underpins most Space Marine vehicles, rearmed and rebalanced for close assault rather than patient long-range gunnery. Sloped frontal plates, sponson mounts down each flank and a heavy turret give it the stance of a machine built to drive straight at a line and break it. Chapter identity is all over the vehicle — winged blood drops, teardrop motifs, funerary ornament and the gothic filigree that separates a son of Baal from a plain Codex hull. It is a tank with a shrine's worth of decoration bolted to it, which is exactly the point. As a proxy for a 28mm heroic-scale grimdark force, it fills the armoured support slot in an army list, and gives painters a broad canvas of panels and iconography to work across on the shelf afterwards.
