Catacomb Ghoul on a Broken Tomb Lid - Tabletop Miniature
Verified OriginalDescription
The undead in most collections stand bolt upright and do nothing, so here is a catacomb ghoul braced knuckles-down on a toppled sarcophagus lid, skull craned up off the neck, nose lifted, sniffing for live flesh it can smell but cannot yet see. Reaching for a horror sculpt rarely fixes that — the ones built as abstraction stop reading the moment they sit on a table among painted figures. This is the SRD corpse-eater drawn in grounded comic-book realism instead: honest, slightly heroic anatomy, tendon cords and plate-like callus cut broad and deep, hairless hide with the texture of wet suede and a slick sheen pooled in the throat and armpit folds. Thick horn-coloured claws, crowded teeth dense as polished bone, coal-black gums behind them, honey-amber eyes with narrow slit pupils. A gravedigger's boiled-leather apron hangs cracked and stiff from the shoulders, blunt-rolled at the edges and studded with heavy brass rivets; a rusted iron manacle still rides one wrist, its link snapped and the break crusted in oxide. Underneath is a round plinth of cracked catacomb floor tiles with a chamfered rim and a shallow drainage channel, the carved lid half-sunk into the tilework on the tilt, its raised lettering worn smooth by whatever has been crawling over it. The whole thing is a long low wedge on three contact points — knuckles planted wide, haunches bunched high, nothing reaching past the footprint — so from across a room it is a loping bald scavenger that has caught a better smell than the one it came down here for. WHAT YOU GET. One single-part model, never cut, as a closed watertight and manifold mesh of 200,970 triangles. At the size supplied it measures 90.223 × 90.253 × 100 mm, and it was checked as fitting the build plate it was sliced against. PRINTING IT. Sliced as supplied, print time came out at 295 minutes and the material works out to about 64 g in PLA — that weight is calculated from the model's 99.7 cm³ of extruded volume against PLA density, not a figure the slicer reported. Overhanging surface is 11.74 per cent of the model. The thinnest measured wall is 1.055 mm at this size; scale the file down toward 28–32 mm heroic for the table and every one of those figures scales with it, so check them against your own machine first. ASSEMBLY. There is none. Figure, apron, manacle, tomb lid and plinth are one continuous volume, filleted at every junction, with the underside milled wide and level. LICENCE. Buying the file lets you print it as many times as you like for yourself. Please do not resell or redistribute the file, and do not sell prints made from it. A commercial-use licence is available as a separate tier if you want to sell what you print. CHANGELOG. 2026-10-10 — first release: single-part sculpt, integrated cracked-tile plinth with sunken tomb lid.
