Champion of Chaos

Every warband eventually throws up someone who has survived long enough, and drawn enough notice from the powers behind it, to be called a champion. This is that figure: a heavily armoured melee character warped by long service, built to be the model your opponent has to deal with rather than one more body in the line. The design leans on the ugly grandeur of the traitor legions. The plate has been rebuilt and embellished until it stops being uniform, trophies have been taken and kept, and the posture reads as arrogant rather than disciplined. It carries a close-combat weapon and is clearly posed to use it. Arriving as a multi-part kit at tabletop wargaming scale, it works as a duel-focused skirmish piece, a warband leader in a narrative campaign, or simply a single ambitious paint project.
