Chaos Sorcerer

Where the rank and file carry guns, this one carries the warp. He is a psyker in service to the ruinous side of a far-future galaxy, armoured and heavily robed, staff in hand, the kind of commander who stands a pace behind the line and unmakes things at range instead of closing with them. Every renegade warband seems to acquire one sooner or later. As an HQ choice he has to hold the eye across a whole table on his own, so the sculpt is doing more work than a rank-and-file trooper's would. That suits him to a proxy slot in an existing army, to the centre of a warband pulled together from several different ranges, or simply to an evening's painting for its own sake. He comes as a single model at tabletop wargaming scale, equally usable in a game or standing on a shelf once the brushes are away.
