A skyline landmark shrunk to shelf scale. Shown here as a crisp black silhouette, this is a tall, slender high-rise tower with a stepped, tapering crown and a wide plinth base, the profile of a modern downtown skyscraper. The setbacks near the top and the clean vertical shafts give it that unmistakable big-city-office-block presence even before any surface detail is picked out. It is built for the model-maker and the diorama builder: a centrepiece for an N or HO scale cityscape, a backdrop tower for a model railway, an architecture study, or a desk trophy for anyone with a soft spot for a particular skyline. Line a few up and you have an instant business district. Print notes: • The footprint is small relative to the height, so a brim or raft is worth adding for stability and to stop the tower rocking during travel moves. • Print upright straight off the base plate; the flat rear and simple massing mean the facades need little to no support. • For sharp window mullions and floor lines, drop to a 0.12-0.16 mm layer height and slow the outer walls. • Matte grey or concrete-tone filament suits it, and a light dry-brush of a paler grey over the edges will make the setbacks and window bands pop under display lighting.
