Description

A ghoul in a looted choir surplice stands with a grave-lantern hugged flat against its ribs and a bone-handled cleaver pinned under the far elbow. It is hairless and tallow-pale, waxy lilac-grey going bruise-plum in the eye pits and the hollow of the throat, with jaundiced ochre-cream across the chest. Ribs and hip crests shove up as blunt ridges under the skin, the claws are horn-yellow with soot-brown tips, and the long tooth-crowded jaw tips forward over the lantern glass in something close to a bow. The surplice is oxblood wool faded to dusty rose on the fold crowns, moth-eaten into blunt tabs and umber-stained at the rolled hem, belted with a bootlace-thick rope. A penny-brass mitre sits beaten flat at the crown, verdigris in the dents, rubbed bright at the corners. Underfoot is fitted crypt tile: one sunken slab with its lettering worn smooth, a snuffed tallow candle, a toppled censer, bone dust worked into the mortar joints. The conceit is played straight. This one has appointed itself sexton of the crypt it haunts, trims the candles, keeps the slabs swept, and holds that visitors arriving without an appointment have been rude. Masses are cut as broad muscle slabs, fat cloth folds and chunky hardware, so the silhouette reads as a bald, long-jawed corpse-eater in stolen church clothes from across a room, and gets more dignified rather than fussier at display size. One file, one part, 100 mm tall as supplied, with a footprint of 68.1 by 68.2 mm. The base is integrated into the sculpt: both splayed soles, the pooled hem, the hanging rope ends, the lantern's bottom edge and the cleaver's lowest blade corner all merge into the tile, and the underside is milled flat. The mesh is watertight and manifold at 190,340 triangles. No photograph of a printed copy exists yet; the images are renders. The measured slice came out at 213 minutes. The slicer did not report a filament weight; from the extruded volume that works out to about 42 g in PLA. The thinnest wall measured 0.614 mm and overhangs account for 4.3 per cent of the surface, so scale the model down and that wall scales with it. It fitted the build plate it was checked against. None. The model was not cut, there are no pins, keys or separate base, and nothing on the figure reaches past its own footprint. Print it for yourself as often as you like, keep the copies or give them away. The file stays with the studio: no resale, redistribution or re-uploading. Selling prints needs the commercial tier, priced at four to five times the file. 2026-10-27 — First release. Single-part mesh, watertight and manifold, 100 mm tall as supplied, base integrated, uncut.
