Custodes Grav tank

Anti-gravitic armour built for the Emperor's own bodyguard, the Caladius pattern floats rather than rolls. It has the broad tapering hull and the deliberately ceremonial lines that separate Custodes wargear from the mass-produced tanks grinding along beside the common soldiery, and it reads as much like a state chariot as a fighting vehicle. That is entirely the point. On the table it fills the heavy support role in a Custodes force, escorting a small and very expensive body of infantry with firepower they cannot carry themselves. The long flanks give a painter plenty of open panel work to break up with freehand and edge highlighting. Supplied as a multi-part kit at tabletop wargaming scale, it suits collectors assembling a full Custodes detachment as much as anyone after a single centrepiece vehicle.
