Dark A Chest Robe

Robes worn over armour plate are one of the oldest visual shorthands in grimdark science fiction, the monastic order that also happens to be an army, and a robed chest is the fastest way to put that idea onto a squad. This is a single torso component in the manner of the secretive, knightly Chapter that guards its own history more jealously than any other force in the Imperium. Converters are the natural audience here. A robed front changes how an entire model reads, taking a standard armoured warrior and making him look older, quieter and more ceremonial, and it hands the painter a large draped surface in the middle of an otherwise hard-edged figure. Sculpted at tabletop wargaming scale, it is for hobbyists assembling or proxying a force of their own rather than buying one off the shelf.
