Standards in the First Legion do more than mark a rallying point. They are records, listing oaths, battle honours and the names of the hunted, and they are carried by warriors who know most of what is written on them can never be explained to outsiders. This is a banner piece in that tradition, worked with the heraldry the Dark Angels are known for: the winged sword, the Calibanite knightly motifs, robed and hooded lines running under the plate. The cloth is sculpted with a hang and a drape rather than left as a flat panel, so it reads as fabric under its own weight once painted. It suits a standard bearer conversion, a command squad centrepiece, or a display base where a stationary figure needs something to fill the vertical space. Freehand painters get an obvious canvas; everyone else gets sculpted detail to shade.
