The Ordo Xenos takes one veteran from a chapter, gives him a specialist's weapon and sends him somewhere the enemy outnumbers him by an order of magnitude. This is one of those operatives, posed with a frag cannon, a wide-mouthed and short-ranged brute of a gun designed to clear a corridor of xenos in a single pull. Everything about the figure points at boarding actions and tunnel fighting. Heavy plate, the mixed heraldry of a marine serving well away from his own chapter, and a weapon with no use whatsoever at distance. It is a close-quarters model for close-quarters missions. In a kill-team of five or six, a specialist like this changes how the whole unit reads. He also stands up on his own as a character piece, the sort of single figure that gets painted properly rather than batched through with a squad.
