Doom Scythe

The Doom Scythe is the Necrons' signature flyer — a crescent-winged craft that sweeps low over the battlefield and carves a line of ruin with its underslung death ray. Its silhouette is unmistakable, a single curved blade of a hull that has earned it the affectionate nickname of the flying croissant among players. The Necron aesthetic runs through every surface: hard angular panels, alien glyphwork and the cold geometry of a machine race that predates the galaxy's younger empires. As a tabletop proxy it stands in for a fast, hard-hitting gunship, the kind of unit that arrives from nowhere and strips a squad or a vehicle before banking away. Supplied as a multi-part kit across ten files, it builds into a centrepiece flyer for a Necron army or a striking piece of xenos engineering for display in its own right.
